It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a new world record! CGC 8.5 Action Comics #1 has set a new record for most expensive comic book ever sold. The book, which sold at auction this week on Comicconnect's website, has surpassed the previous record (also set by a CGC graded Action Comics #1) and sold for a staggering $3.25 million! Congrats to the lucky buyer that added this amazing piece of history to their collection!

Here is the NEWS: Had a really bad winter trade. So much so that our rent was not paid for a couple of months. I know & you know that that is Albany, right? We could have traded out of our difficulties once the sun came out, especially with all the ANZAC commemorations coming up. Well Merrifields real estate and the owners of the building thought otherwise.
They gave us no options, just came and changed the locks. We have desperately been trying to work something out, but alas there was no negotiating with this enemy.
So, thank you to all who supported us. I was a great (if not brief ) ride. We tried to bring a touch of class to Albany. A touch of Vegas style. Albany deserves this. We grew up here. 2 of our kids were born here. I did my apprenticeship at the Double Happy Chinese Restaurant, then 28 years later bought it and turned it into Shanghai Moon.
It was an exciting ride.

Who would like too learn a little Chinese cuisine?
Here at Shanghai Moon we will soon be offering short cooking classes (about 3 hrs) on either Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
From basic skills and dish prep, sauces, too dumpling & Yum cha, or even Banquets!
It's up to you!
If we can generate enough interest we will run classes of around 9 in size. So; Like, comment & share! Get a group of friends together for a fun evening (or afternoon)! A little wine, some good food and grat company make for an ejoyable night out!!

As of today, we will be doing a 'Happy Hour' $10 take away specials between the hours of 4.30pm - 6.30pm. Dishes will include, chicken, beef and pork. Seafood is excluded.
