Check out NAIDOC Week Activities all week from Monday 6th July.

The NAIDOC Committee has outdone themselves again this year and there is more to get involved in.

Take the kids to these activities to learn more about Arrernte Country and the many Aboriginal cultures and Torres Strait customs, stories, arts, history and plans for the future as well as the present day achievements of our Indigenous people of this country.

On Wednesday the Desert Peoples Campus with Batchelor and other Organisations will have an Art exhibition on display, a few workshops and our talented chef and team will be serving a beautiful Native lunch all week highlighting ingredients by the beautiful Rayleen Brown. If you’ve never had a chance to taste local native ingredients found throughout the Desert region and top end then you won’t want to miss out.

Lunch is available from 11.30am daily until sold out. Our winter warm lunches will continue from Monday 6th during weekdays all winter so come down and get some yummy nourishing food.

We will post our menu for NAIDOC during the weekend then continue to post our weekly lunch specials as we did before.

Have a great long weekend friends and stay safe.

Team TMG ✨

Winter Festivals & Events in the NT
This is a time we thrive and things pick right up til the end of the year. This year is no exception.

Working along side great event planner like Yasmine & Jo makes events like this flow well and when we get the unexpected happen like 150 extra people you learn to pivot and roll; it’s a very Territorian thing(we’ve learned after so many years and it just is what it is😆)

We’ve had a pretty rough first 6 months of the year just like many small businesses but we are keeping our Gratitude in check, goals in mind and keeping things rolling.

In a past life when I was working in social services I was lucky to work with a Fella who was basically driving on no tyre tread just Rims. When he was asked about how he was going to keep driving he replied with a big smile “It’s all good sister, I’ve still got rims” and that’s exactly how it’s felt as of late. 😂

Our team are some of the hardest working crew you’ll ever meet holding down multiple bookings, unexpected changes with little notice, creating beautiful meals for our families and individuals on NDIS and those who get hardship support from us.

It is a hard time to be in food and combined with being in a remote area is just as tough however; we still got Rims, are able to laugh & enjoy pockets of joy in these creative events we get to be part of.

Thank you to the committee for choosing to invest your budget in our service it’s always a privilege to be invited to cater for large scaled events as it allows us to push our limits, be creative & have more fun. all catering over $1000 we commit 10% of profits towards our hardship meals and we are proud to know this has allowed us to give over 8000 meals. It’s all about our people.

When we are quiet that usually means we’ve got alot going on however we are still accepting bookings for 2026.
