Our last service for Carl's as we know it has now commenced and we're bringing another farewell from the talented Matt who has been manning the Carl's kitchen for the majority of 2022 so far and what a fine job he's done!

As mentioned tables are limited but be sure to head down to say farewell (for now) and we'll sort out a seat for you, put a glass of wine in your hand and let Matt cook for you one final time - those arancini are dangerously good!

Newstead, we're truly grateful to have gotten to know so many of you and whilst this is goodbye for now, we'll be back so be sure to keep an eye on our socials 👀

Join us from 12pm today and come have an a wine and say a final good bye to Carls as we know it!

Newstead, we have absolutely loved every moment of Carl's and we have you to thank. Without our locals, regulars and everybody else who has popped in for a wine or a bite to eat, it wouldn't have been the same without you and we're truly grateful so whilst it's goodbye for now, it's not goodbye forever.

Unfortunately for yesterday's trip down memory lane we couldn't get a video of as he's got a head cold but he's shared some words about his time at Carl's as our first chef when we opened our pop-up four years ago!

"I rocked the kitchen at Carl's in the days when Duck Waffles were cool and Dad jokes were in.

There are many good memories of working with Dougy, Adam, Dave and the team. The locals were amazing and a major part of what made Carl's special!

But the one memory out of everything that stood out, would have to be working with (Mrs Cush) as dishy. Not only did she throw shade all shift long, but for an accomplished wine maker and artist she can clean ceramics like no one else's business!"

Be sure to join us over the next few days to celebrate everything that is Carl's! Open today for the public holiday from 3pm and also doing both lunch and dinner services over the weekend!

It's our final week at Carl's and we're bringing tonight's trip down memory lane with the wonderful Chef !

We're very grateful to have had Zac man the kitchen at Carl's - he brought some incredible dishes to the menu and managed to do so in such a small space.

We had many favourite dishes from Zac and we loved all the different flavoured mini magnums (including the Vegemite)!

It's our last week down here at Carl's before we shut up shop. Fortunately, it's not goodbye forever but just a quick farewell and it won't be long before we're back at a new location. Somewhere a little bit bigger, with a bit more undercover space as we edge towards another wet summer.⁣

Our little hole-in-the-wall at 22 Wyandra St will remain but with a completely new concept which we think you're going to love.

But, as it's the last week here (for now), we're feeling nostalgic and bringing some memories and farewells to lighten up your socials.

We are ever so fortunate to have such a great team down at Carl's, so here is Newstead's favourite man, Hans, with a little farewell!
