As part of their May special, Fatty Patty has teamed up with Tuyas and are doing a beef rendang taco. We thought it was perfect in this cooler weather. Flavoursome, comforting reef rendang with refreshing salsa.

It's $24 and you get 3 tacos.

We absolutely loved it.

Gave-up coffee, send matcha recommendations
-----------------------------------------------------------
Houbi Ichigo
1453 Logan Rd
Mount Gravatt East
---------------------------------------------------------
I'm trying to find new matcha spots so if anyone has recommendations, send them my way. I've seen this place pop up on my feed with their very expressive IG videos.

I thought I was going to get a matcha strawberry but for the ube version instead.
Loved it ❤️ Not to sweet and the matcha quality was great.

Also got a smoked salmon onigiri as a little bit.

It's a cute little spot hidden in a pharmacy.

Flavours of 🇪🇹 in Moorooka
------------------------------------------------------------
Ethiopian Village
15/147 Beaudesert Rd
Moorooka

----------------------------------------------------------
I've gotten takeaway here a few times but finally went in for a sit down experience at in Moorooka.
Trying one of their chefs platters is a great way to sample a few Ethiopian dishes. We got the

🍛Meat and Veg Platter which comes with a range of chef selected dishes and is priced from around $33 per person. As part of the platter we had the Doro Wot, the national dish of Ethiopia which we loved. Also absolutely loved the veg dishes too. It was very home style and the food was actually gut friendly. Would highly recommend if you want to eat out but still want a homely meal.

The sambusa was epic too.

✅They are halal and no pork is served.

Limited Edition - 🍌 Banana Bread Cold Brew
------------------------------------------------------------
Single-O
16 Austin St
Newstead

------------------------------------------------------------
When I think of amazing coffee (with good vibes), Single-O is the first place that comes to mind. They've just dropped their Banana Bread Espresso Cold Foam Cold Brew and it's a must try for banana bread lovers.

🥪whilst you're there would also recommend trying out their toasties. I got the tuna melt ($18) with Yellowfin tuna, red onion, kewpie mayo, fill, pickers, capers, tobasco with cheddat on sourdough.

This was part of an invited experience by .agency but as you may know, we do often visit Single-O.

Also, how amazing are the team here. Always super friendly.

The best food court food I've ever eaten!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Brazzos Smokehouse
Main food court (below Event Cinemas)
Westfield Chermside

--------------------------------------------------------------
It's restaurant quality, slow cooked, healthy-ish, comfort food but....in a food court.

Brazzos is an absolute game changer and I can't wait to see them roll out more venues across Australia.

Here's what we had:

🍛Classic Plate - choose your meat and it comes with black beans, steamed rice, mixed leaves, tomato salsa, chips. We went for the picanha and it was amazing.

🍔Picanha Burger with that juicy beef rump cap. This was outstanding and you should do yourself a favour and order it.

🍔 Costello Burger with 12 hr slow cooked beef short rib. Legit have never seen a version of this in a food court but I'm sooo here for it.

‼️ this was part of a gifted/paid campaign

✅The venue has advised that their meat is halal. Note*** they do serve non halal meat too. I would advise checking directly with the venue for more dietary information. Email the venue for more information.

Stopped into for a full spread with the friends. Came to $280 for 8 people and there were heaps of leftovers. Fully halal.

Went to .official and they finally changed their menu. Has anyone else tried it.

A taste of South India 📍 Brisbane North
-------------------------------------------------------------
Dum and Rum
Rose Plus Centre
Shop 1/734 Rode Rd
Stafford Heights
Also have locations in Annerley and Spring Mountain

---------------------------------------------------------------
If you're looking to try Authentic Indian food, I'd highly recommend trying South Indian dishes by Dum and Rum. They've brought Kerala style dishes to Brisbane and if you didn't know, Kerala is the home of spices.

✅Their meat is halal

Here is everything we ordered:

🦐Kerala p**l prawns🦐 prawns cooked in spiced and coconut milk. But these were legit the best prawns I did ever have HOLY $17.95

🍛Kizhi Dum Biryani 🍛 a unique recipe where biryani is wrapped in banana leaf and then steamed to enhance the flavour. We got the goat variation which was $26.95.

🐟Fish Pollichathu 🐟 Whole Kerala fish covered in masala and wrapped in banana leaf. South Indians are known to make incredible seafood and I can so see why. This dish was outstanding and I can't wait to eat it again
$27.95 and perfectly shared between 2.

🫔Masala Dosa🫔 A crispy crepe filled with seasoned potatoes $15.95. Their dosa is super packed and filling. We shared it.

🍨 Ada pradaman 🍨 rice with crispy cashew nuts, ghee in coconut milk. It was like a warm hug from the inside and I'm so sure there were apple pieces inside too. I'm mad that I'd never tried this before. $9.95

✅This place caters for a range of dietaries, halal, gluten free, vegetarian

If you haven't tried South Indian food, I'd highly recommend it. I prefer it to North Indian food. It's a lot lighter on the stomach, yet packed with flavour.

This was part of a gifted/paid experience.

New opening - Everyday Indulgence 🍕
-------------------------------------------------------------
Johnny Gio's
Shop 5/84 Merthyr Rd
New Farm

---------------------------------------------------------
With over 23 locations in NSW, they're known for their delicious pizzas. Johnny Gio's has officially opened their first QLD store here in New Farm.

So here's what we ordered:

From their specials, the 13 inch pizzas, we got

🍕Burrata Queen with Pomodoro, cherry tomato, confit garlic, basil and Burrata $29. Absolutely loved the topics. I mean, how could you go wrong with Burrata. The base was a bit average. Given that it has 125grams of buratta, I think it's justified for the price.

🍕Uncle Al's Hot Beef with Pomodoro, beef salami, basil and hot honey. The beef salami was incredible. I'd order this again $26.

They have some really good special options, priced between $26-$29.

For pasta was got 🍝 the lasagne with veal ragu $18. I'm going to order this again for nights in. It tasted home made and was super comforting.

For sides we had the cheesy hot honey bread $12, which was great.

I definitely don't think it's Brisbane's best pizza, so definitely not going to make that claim. But I do think it's a great, indulgent, everyday option and the price point is inline with that too.

🚫All their non-pork products are halal certified, however the venue itself is not halal certified

For vegetarian, Indian food, go here 👇🏻
------------------------------------------------------------
Tanatan Indian Cuisine
Shop b/1399 Logan Rd
Mount Gravattic
-------------------------------------------------------------
For Indian food that isn't too heavy and for Gujarati specials, i'd recommend check-in out Tanatan.

🚫This wasn't a paid/gifted Collab. I saw this place mentioned on a list shared and noticed they had Gujarati foods and decided to in to get my dad Khaman.

Dietaries:
✅100% vegetarian venue
✅Gluten free options
✅Vegan options
✅They can make dishes to be Jain friendly too.

Here's what I ordered:

🍛Masala Kichdi Kadhi $16.90
Kichdi - mixture of rice, lentils, herbs, nuts, fried with spices. Kadhi is a yoghurt with chana flour cooked with spices. It was very tasty but sooo different to the Kichdi Kadhi I grew up with. It had a lot of ghee on the top but was still gold.

🍙Khaman was really good here and I'll be going back for more $9 for a container.
It's also gluten free. Chick pea paste cooked in a steam pot with mustard seeds and spices served with a green chutney. 20/10

🍙Surti Idla also gluten friendly and $9
Similar to Khaman but made with lentils and rice.

11/02/2026

New opening - and every dish was a 10/10
---------------------------------------------------------
Aunty on Wandoo
11 Wandoo St
Fortitude Valley

--------------------------------------------------------group opened their newest venue, Aunty last week and whilst they've only been open for a few days, they've been fully booked.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The service was incredible and the food was delicious. What more could you ask for.

Here's what we ordered:

🍡Pressed Wagyu Skewer with soy glaze and mustard. $14 - perfect meaty little bite.

🥩charred lamb ribs - these were incredible. Crispy from the char but fatty and packed with flavour from the anchovy dressing and pickled green chilli $28

🦑Golden Sand Calamari. Not just any Calamari, the most addictive calamari I did ever have $28

🦀Chilli Crab Shanghai Noodle - perfect for sharing and the ultimGe comfort dish. Add rice to the remaining sauce for a little something extra 😜 $52

🦆Half Duck Two Ways - so generous with the portion size and the duck was cooked perfectly $74

🍈For dessert, I'd recommend the Jackfruit & Lime Sorbet Sando $9

✅This was part of an invited experience, but you beat know I'm going back
