Being a chef isn’t always sunshine & daisies, most days are hard, managing fatigue, persisting through the challenges & learning through the chaos.

People under estimate the job & the skills you must learn to keep your head above water.

Some kitchens will break you, some kitchens will build you.

You need to be passionate, without passion you won’t last, without passion you won’t have the drive to keep going, because some days you’ll want to give up but on those days you need to remind yourself why you are here.

Passion. Every good chef has it, every great chef feeds it.

From the dim lit bar giving its own rustic experience to the exquisite restaurant up stairs serving some of the best meals I’ve eaten out in a long time.

This venue is definitely one to check out!

I still remember this one head chef that said I was too much, I had high highs & low lows & that I didn’t belong in the kitchen.

I was 20, probably mentally unstable but trying my best & passionate, I was soooo passionate.

10 years later I have taught myself discipline, self control & used my weaknesses as tools to feed my soul.

It’s always been me vs me, but if I had of listened to that man & gave up I wouldn’t be standing here today still doing what I love.

We are all still learning everyday & none of us are perfect, male, female or what ever you identify as. But if anyone tells you that you don’t belong, use that s**t as gasoline & set your soul on fire, not for them but for you.
