The best part of travel is discovering little gems like our current guesthouse in Bangkok. It's not pricey or full of fancy furniture but it's oozes charm and history and the most beautiful feeling of being at home. The house is 92 years old and run by a gorgeous couple (Ung and Tac) who potter around and make staying here a joy. The neighbourhood is not touristed and you get the local feel.
Best of all we wake up to a home cooked breakfast that is full of love and flavour. Can't wait to see what delights Ung serves us tomorrow. The sticky rice and mango was sheer perfection. Not too sweet and the mangoes are to die for. The tofu and mushroom ginger stir fry was so full of flavour, tofu made fresh in the local market and the pepper veg soup, yummo. We thought the green tomatoes were grapes. Absolute flavour bombs. When we told them we were vegan, it wasn't a problem. So refreshing. πππππππΏπΏπΏπΏπΏ
