To my and wonderful customers of Port Hedland, it is with great sadness that I have to announce Frost & Fig’s doors will be closing permanently. This was not an easy decision to make however deep in my heart I know it was the right one for my business as I can’t give it the time and attention it deserves. There was so much more I wanted to do with F&F. I had big dreams and well, I guess it’s not the end forever. Just the end for now.
It has been the most incredible journey getting here, starting out from a little trestle table and carting chest freezer on a sack trolley in the Boulevarde shopping centre and West End Markets to a fully mobile food van business. I was able to take my dream of wanting to create healthier and still delicious gluten free ice cream alternatives for my children and share it with the people around me, to then fulfilling my dream of starting my own food van and sharing my love of healthy delicious takeaway food options with the world, whilst perfecting the most delicious handcrafted gluten free ice creams that could be enjoyed by people from all walks of life. I am so grateful my 3 children were able to witness my journey as a female entrepreneur running a small business alongside my role as their mum and a full time job whilst being my endless cheerleaders for every ‘faulty/defect’ ice cream or new flavours I was testing that they were able to enjoy along the way.
From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU... to my family who supported me endlessly day in & out. There are no words to fully express my gratitude to be able to live this dream of mine without you either by my side or on the other end of the phone. Thank you to my friends, community, and my wonderful customers!! I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without your support! As Frost & Fig closes it’s doors my heart is full with all that I have gained along this journey. I will treasure every: lesson, interaction, new friends and old, customer, business who supported me (large & small), collaborator, and of course all the countless hours spent food prepping for huge catering events, recipe testing, admin, late nights individually hand coating ice creams after the kids were in bed, and all the successes and failures that got me to where I am today. I loved sharing this all with you so damn much!
