It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we announce Tailgate Sports Bar's doors are closed.
This wasn't the ending we hoped for, and we did fight tirelessly for it not to be, but before we go, we want to take a moment to reflect on what Tailgate became.
Tailgate was never just a sports bar. Tailgate, that was the real product. Not the food. Not the sport. The community. ❤️🍻🏉🎲
It became a place where strangers became mates. A place where trivia teams battled it out every Wednesday night. A place where board games came back to life and people put their phones down for a few hours to simply enjoy each other's company.
A place where sporting events weren't just watched, they were experienced together. A place where regulars became part of our extended family. Most importantly, Tailgate became a community.
To every person who booked a table, ordered a burger, shared a beer, played trivia, joined a game night, watched a game, brought their friends, celebrated with us or simply walked through our doors... thank you. You helped create something special.
To the team who stood beside us until the very end, thank you will never be enough. What people saw was food, drinks and service. What we saw was a group of incredible humans who showed up for each other every single day. People who cared. People who solved problems. People who worked hard. People who helped create the atmosphere and community that made Tailgate what it was.
You made the difficult days easier and the good days unforgettable.
While the doors may close, we're incredibly proud of what was re-built here in such a short time.
The biggest sadness isn't the loss of the venue itself. It's the space it created.
The friendships.
The laughs.
The traditions.
The sense of belonging.
Our hope is that the incredible people who found a home at Tailgate continue to find each other, continue to support local businesses and continue to build the kind of community that made this place so special.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the journey.
