Today I completed my first aid certificate with Rod Brown at New Focus First Aid. If you're due to get your first aid or CRP certificates, I can highly recommend Rod. His class is the most practical, hands on training I've had before. Rod has over 20 years experience as a paramedic and over 10 years experience training first aiders like myself.

Rural workplace assessments are one of my favourite parts about my job now. The change of scenery is almost as good as a holiday.

The purpose of a workplace assessment is to determine if a workplace can provide suitable duties. This is entirely dependent on the workers injury, current capacity and medical restrictions.

If you're thinking of being a host employer, my first step is to match the right worker to your business. Then we conduct a workplace assessment to confirm that the duties are suitable to the worker.
