Last night was one of those moments that made me smile.

There I was at the Boomers 🇦🇺 vs Gilas Pilipinas 🇵🇭 game, surrounded by more than 10,000 basketball fans. The atmosphere was absolutely electric.

Then my son, who’s just starting his basketball journey, looked at me and asked:

“Mum… who are you rooting for?”

I just smiled and said, “Both.”

I was born Filipino, but Australia is now my home. I’m proud to be an Australian citizen, a business owner, and someone who’s built a life here. At the same time, my Filipino roots will always be part of who I am.

So last night, I wasn’t there to choose sides.

I was there to watch great basketball, cheer for amazing athletes, and enjoy the moment with my son.

Sometimes, you don’t have to pick one side when your heart has room for both. ❤️🏀🇵🇭🇦🇺
