So, we were at Grimsby Farmers Market on Thursday, when the weather suddenly got scary, but I was prepared to meet the Wizard, so we stuck it out. It was worth it in the end, because 9 Acres Organic Farm gave me a whole giant bag full of fresh garlic scapes. Enough for brunch, and for the You Had Me At Pizza Sunday feature.
This here is eggs in Purgatory with roasted garlic scape pesto and spicy Italian sausage. Lots of fresh basil and cheese.

Good news - you can sit on the patio- it's the weekend, and the construction crew isn't constructing 😁

This is a traditional Quebec style poutine- originally invented to get rid of some leftovers. I think it's delicious, and I like to make it as a brunch feature every once in a while... so I get to eat it. 😍
Herb roasted chicken and sweet peas on top of cheese curds, brisket gravy and our crispy breakfast potatoes. Topped with eggs, so it feels brunchy.
We are also serving up some maple inspired beverages.

We were making bison burgers for Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery this weekend, so we thought we would save some for us too. And brunchify them.
Bison brioche patty melts 😍
With pickled red onions, Havarti and chipotle bbq sauce. Served with some crispy potatoes on the side.

Have you ever had a breakfast sandwich on a maple French cruller? With housemade maple sausage, bacon, eggs and a aged cheddar cream??
We went all out for brunch this week. You can even build your own Caesar.
Rumor has it, there might even be fresh strawberry waffles. Only one way to find out, friends. 😋

It's brunch feature time, friends. I made you some puff pastry. It's ok - I'm working on my triceps 💪 🙃
This is a French bistro inspired creamed leek and potato tart, topped with poached eggs, sweet dijon drizzle and some crispy potatoes on the side.
We also whipped up a lemon drop for you. Ooh- and a chai latte too.
Come for brunch. It's supposed to rain. Rainy day brunches are the best. Our patio is fully covered, and a great place to while away a rainy Sunday.

We are headed South with our Brunch feature this week. It's warm and 🌞, so I think you should come on over for some Northern hospitality, and some Southern food.
Sweet potato cornbread waffles topped with BBQ pork, poached eggs, sausage gravy and Georgia peach BBQ sauce.
Pair it up with this Southern Peach Fizz, or a big glass of sweet tea.

Is that asparagus 😍?!
It sure is.
Crab and asparagus thermidor - with some poached eggs to make it brunchy. A little arugula salad on the side and some smoked paprika oil.
We have some great brunch beverages as well - a Gin Daisy - two of my favorite things 😋
And this awesome rhubarb lemonade fizz for our mocktail selection.

The star of brunch this week is definitely the rhubarb margarita- and it goes so well with these brisket chilaquiles.
Chilaquiles are a very popular brunch item in Mexican cuisine. Who doesn't want to eat nachos for breakfast? These ones have a little BBQ twist - some charro beans and BBQ beef brisket, topped with a little pico de gallo and cheese.
For our "mocktail" with this dish, we are keeping it super simple, and just serving up some ice cold Mexican Coke in glass bottles - and from someone who grew up drinking Coke in glass bottles - it sure is a treat now.

Crepes- are they sandwiches? Tacos? French tacos? Oui.
These ones are filled with roasted asparagus, bacon and havarti. Topped with eggs, and drizzled with spring herb oil, this is a great match for our awesome brunch cocktail. This week it's a French Twist, with Gin, OJ and sparkling wine.
All in all, French tacos and cocktails are a great way to start your Sunday. 🌞
