Westways is a heritage home with Arts and Craft accents that offers exceptional accommodation within walking distance of downtown Calgary and many of Calgary’s attractions including the Scotia Bank Saddledome and BMO Centre within the Calgary Stampede Park. Even closer, just behind us is the Holy Cross Centre also one and half blocks away is Fourth Street renown for its selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes.

After 27 years of operating Westways Guest House, it is with regret
and sorrow but due to the COVID 19 requirements that limits the continuing operation of our Westways Guest House, we have no other option but to close the business down and place the house for sale. Fortunately the house sold fairly quickly and now we are looking forward to our next stage of life of living in Strathcona, for me, living in retirement and for Graham to develop new career prospects.

We both personally, like to give thanks to our previous regular guests and past patrons of our Guest House with whom made the Calgary Westways Guest House the most successful B&B in Calgary. We shall miss you all including our four legged guests and some of our eccentric guests over the years but it is time for me to start living a retired life.

Our Guest House is located in a great neighborhood called Mission. Only 20 minutes walking distance to the downtown core and bordering Mission is the Elbow river with its pathway system.
One of my regular walks is upon leaving the house turning left onto 25 Avenue and in four minutes will be crossing the Elbow River on the Scollen Bridge. Taking the next right on Erlton street proceeding to the pathway on the right and connecting with the Elbow river. The path leads us to the off leash Roxboro park, bearing left we ascend to the Roxboro/Erlton ridge with views of downtown. Continuing along the ridge, descending onto Mission Road and doubling back to Roxboro park.
Leaving the park and admiring the multimillion dollar houses in Roxboro and making my way to Mission bridge back over the Elbow river. Now on the 26 Avenue bike path, a couple of minutes from home.
