I made some extra gourmet cupcakes and have a limited number of boxes available for pickup!

Rich chocolate cupcake filled with creamy cheesecake filling, topped with chonky cheesecake buttercream and a generous hunk of cheesecake.

🧁 Rocky Road
Rich chocolate cupcake filled with marshmallow fluff, topped with chocolate Rocky Road buttercream, mini marshmallows, chocolate chunks, and crunchy nut pieces.

Hey friends!

I’ve been a little MIA lately, and I wanted to pop in and let everyone know why.

I had Bariatric surgery at the beginning of this week and the surgery went well, and for that I am incredibly grateful. What didn’t go according to plan was the recovery part. Apparently when I placed my order, I accidentally selected the “complications and surprises” package instead of the “easy breezy recovery” package. 😅

The last little while has been spent focusing on healing, staying hydrated, getting protein in, managing symptoms, and learning what my new normal looks like. Recovery has been slower and more challenging than I expected, and some days my full-time job has simply been trying to drink enough water and stay upright.

I’ve been doing my best to work through messages, quotes, and orders whenever I have the energy, but if you’ve been waiting to hear back from me, please know I’m not ignoring you. I’m just navigating a recovery journey that has required a lot more of me than I anticipated.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, your check-ins, your prayers, and your support. It means more than you know.

Katy Cakes isn’t going anywhere. I’m just healing behind the scenes so I can come back stronger.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have approximately 47 ounces of water and a protein shake that are apparently my entire personality these days. 😂💗

As many of you know, I’ll be having surgery on June 2nd, which means I’ll be stepping back from taking on any new June orders while I recover.

✨ If you already have an order booked with me for June — nothing changes! Your order is still confirmed and will be ready as planned. This pause only applies to any new bookings for June.
