I graduated from the Culinary Management program at Loyalist College in 2006, I knew after going to culinary school that my love of the 'bake shop' and all things sweet would lead me into a career in pastry more so then cooking. So when out of all the jobs I applied to, one of the few being for pastry offered me a job, I knew I couldn't pass up the oppertunity and so the day after graduation I pac
ked my car and drove cross Canada to the Delta Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff, Alberta. I worked as the Pastry Chef at the hotel for just shy of a year and even went back after to help out once in a while. I eventually ended up at the Bison Restauant. A MUST see if ever in the rockies. Although most of the staff I worked with are no longer there that place will always hold a special place in my heart! It's were I got lots of practice in making housemade marshmallows, flourless chocolate cake, various preserves ( always a good time :) ) Pizza dough and Biroche. As well as many other VERY delicious creations! I returned back to Ontario the summer of 2009, a few months before I was due to have my first child. Since the birth of my daughter I've periodically done cakes ( mostly for family) from home. It would be amazing to one day turn this passion I have for creating tasty goodies into a small business but for now my sister remains by biggest client. :)
I hope you all enjoy what you see.. it's too bad you can't get a little taste eh :) Should you ever find yourself in the need of an irresistible treat don't hesitate to get in touch. We'll see what we can come up with. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work!
