Long Reach Roots Fresh local food This is the story of Long Reach Roots. Our dreams, our mission, our passion! Sam and I have been together since 2011.

We live and grow on property that has been in her family for over 100 years. Her great grandfather made a living selling vegetables (among other things) to summer residents and to Saint John by river boats. We are lucky to live on the beautiful Saint John River! We practice organic methods and our goal is to certify our farm. (More on why we think this is important later!) We grow vegetables and r

aise chickens for eggs, meat and breeding. We are currently working on expanding our flock which includes Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Australorps and Specked Sussex. We are excited about what is happening here and glad to be able to share it with you. As our name suggests, we are getting back to our Roots, by way of location, heritage and practice. All the best,
