Long Reach Roots Fresh local food This is the story of Long Reach Roots. Our dreams, our mission, our passion! Sam and I have been together since 2011.

We live and grow on property that has been in her family for over 100 years. Her great grandfather made a living selling vegetables (among other things) to summer residents and to Saint John by river boats. We are lucky to live on the beautiful Saint John River! We practice organic methods and our goal is to certify our farm. (More on why we think this is important later!) We grow vegetables and raise chickens for eggs, meat and breeding. We are currently working on expanding our flock which includes Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Australorps and Specked Sussex. We are excited about what is happening here and glad to be able to share it with you. As our name suggests, we are getting back to our Roots, by way of location, heritage and practice. All the best,

One XXL Rosemary plant.
This Rosemary plant is 5 years old and is in a 18" black nursery pot. It is 40" tall and 20" wide.
$50.00

One XL Rosemary plant.
This Rosemary plant is 4 years old and is in a 14" brown nursery pot. It is 36" tall and 18" wide.
$35.00

We also have a few large plants in 3 gallon black nursery pots. These are 3 years old and vary in size and shape.
$25.00

Must be grown indoors over the winter.

Fall is a great time to plant perennials. We currently have Bearded Purprle Iris, Yellow Siberian Iris, Yellow Day Lillies, Big Root Begonia, Autumn Joy Sedum, and Ladies Mantle.
$5 for 1 gallon, $8 for 2 gallon.
We also have bare root Raspberry canes available.

Large Rosemary plants in a 3 gallon nursery pot.

These happy and healthy Rosemary plants are 3 years old. They have been grown outside in the summer, cut back in the fall and taken indoors for the winter. They are freshly potted up in 3 gallon nursery pots and ready to be taken indoors.

We are participating in Open Farm Day again and are joined by some great folks this year! Come see us this Sunday, Sept 20th, 9-1 :)

This Sunday is Open Farm Day! Come explore Long Reach Roots Farm with Nature NB and the Belleisle Watershed Coalition for a day of learning about sustainable farming and protecting our waterways.

A big thank you to the Canada Water Agency for making this workshop possible and supporting efforts to keep the Wolastoq healthy for people and nature!

Ce dimanche, c'est la Journée agricole portes ouvertes ! Venez découvrir la ferme Long Reach Roots avec Nature NB et la Coalition du bassin versant de Belleisle pour une journée consacrée à l’agriculture durable et à la protection de nos cours d’eau.
