june crumbs 🍪🎂🌈
june was essentially one very long birthday party with a few thousand cookies baked in between 🎉 🍪
our little New West store turned TWO, so naturally we celebrated for an entire week with custom free matchboxes, birthday drinks, tiny & a spirit week that became progressively more unhinged 🤪 cuz we work hard but we play harderrrrr!!!
we drank out of anything but cups, dressed like each other, recreated memes & learned that some members of our team are perhaps a little too committed to the bit.
somewhere in the middle of all that, we completed our biggest order ever: 5,500 cookies for SEASPAN OFFICIAL then baked for all our regular cookie orders that weekend because apparently we enjoy testing the limits of the human spirit 🫠 how could 8,500 cookies in 3 days be hard????
we also spent Pride month serving cereal milk lattes + rainbow lemonades and, thanks to everyone who ordered one, donated over $400 to Rainbow Refugee 🌈💗
june was very busy, very silly and very BAK’D.
but the part we’ll remember most is looking around the store during our birthday and realizing how much has changed in two years. what started with two siblings baking cookies has somehow become this beautiful, chaotic little community of customers + team members who continue to show up for us.
andy & i know that we are very lucky. even if our version of “relaxing” is sitting on the BOH floor for approximately four minutes before getting back up again, we wouldn’t change it for the world.
