The other day my mother headed back to New Brunswick after visiting for a month. We are very lucky that she comes to us each year. Missing her and feeling sad I had to go out and “do what I do”, forage and be grateful for what nature provides to us. Foraging always grounds me in a way nothing else seems to. I found the rose hips, yarrow, and New England aster. Then hubby showed up with a couple of wild apples to show me, then he took me to the tree. I am going to see if I can dry the apples for my winter simmer pots.

I am honestly trying to get my ducks in a row!!! Does anyone else feel that way this time of year?? These silly little goats milk soap duckies are going to some special people. Yay or Nay?? What would you like to see me make this season??
