๐ก๐๐ช๐ฆ: Sarnia waterfront fills with fries, curds and gravy this weekend
โ
Sarniaโs waterfront is serving up comfort food, festival fun and plenty of cheese curds this weekend as Poutine Feast takes over Centennial Park.
The four-day festival runs from Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31, bringing together touring poutine trucks, food vendors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities along the cityโs waterfront.
The event was already off to a busy start this week, with a steady crowd, long lineups and plenty of people making their way through the park to sample different takes on one of Canadaโs most beloved comfort foods.
This yearโs event features a wide range of vendors, including Fat Lesโs Chip Stand, Mrs. Mini Donuts, Miss Ellieโs Lemonade, Boba Bae, Mattโs Dairy Ice Cream Truck, Tragically Chip, Groovy Gravy, Good & Tasty Gourmet Poutines, and more.
The festival also gives vendors a chance to compete for bragging rights, with awards for categories such as Best Gravy, Best Curd and Judgesโ Choice.
For visitors, the weekend is less about picking just one favourite and more about wandering the waterfront, trying something new and enjoying the easy festival atmosphere. From classic poutines to loaded creations, sweet treats, cold drinks and ice cream, there is plenty to choose from.
The event is also designed with families in mind, offering games, activities and entertainment throughout the weekend.
With Centennial Park as the backdrop, Poutine Feast adds another lively spring event to Sarniaโs waterfront calendar, giving residents and visitors a chance to enjoy food, music and community in one of the cityโs most recognizable public spaces.
The only real challenge may be deciding how many poutines one person can handle.
