We'll be at the Fall Farm Fest at the Just Food Community Farm tomorrow—with our Festive Farm Sausage, the Harvest Riot Dog, a loukaniko-style sausage made with citrus, garlic, fennel, coriander, pepper, oregano, thyme …and a splash of maple syrup. And we now make it with the only citrus that we can grow on our farm—sea buckthorne!!
Served on a brioche bun, smothered in onions that have been caramelized in butter and maple syrup.
A perfect complement to a cob of roasted corn (from the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre / Centre de ressources de l'Est d'Ottawa) and a libation from Dominion City Brewing Co.!
(And don't worry, we'll also have our spicy Merguez with us, as well as frozen 4-packs to take home for your grill.)
And if you're wondering "what's a sea buckthorne?!?"...
