I mean, you can't go wrong with these pulled pork sliders on my homemade hoagie buns.

We just finished up an order for a 60th wedding anniversary. These were part of the order. The customer flew in from Calgary, with family living here in Whitby. Found us through an AI search and read reviews about us. We managed to rank in the top 10 in her search criteria. (I need her to give that criteria to me lol)

We are now taking orders for the Christmas Treat Boxes. Have your orders in by December 14th. Pickups will be between December 19th and December 24th 12pm.

For our Christmas Treat boxes you have 4 sizes to choose from:

Extra large (approx 40 treats) - $50
Large (approx 30 treats) - $40
Medium (approx 20 treats) - $30
Small (approx 10 treats) $20

We were happy to take on a unique challenge for a recent event at the Canadian Tank Museum in Oshawa. They had an event, Tridents and Tanks - Ukraine's Struggle for Freedom and asked if we could make Ukrainian inspired finger foods for the event. Since we wanted to show our support, we took this adventure on. Creating Ukraine options that are not on our menu,nor have we made before but adding our big flavours to these items. We decided on: Pyrizhky (Ukrainian Hand Pies) one batch with Spinach & Feta and the other with Ground Meat & Onions; Cabbage Roll Bites; Chicken Kyiv Bites; Shashlik (Ukrainian Kebab Meat) Chicken and Pork. We used our family for our test kitchen to give us feedback on flavour levels and we provided enough food for over 200 guests that attended the event. We received great feedback from some of the guests and members of the museum. We were proud of our results and are keeping the chicken Kyiv bites on our menu based on the amazing feedback.

We completed another order today for the University of Toronto Museum Studies project team's exhibit: "Munitionettes: Women at Defence Industries Limited," Held at the Canadian Tank Museum in Oshawa. There were up to 100+ guests in attendance. We made them our Mexican street corn bites, California veggie wraps, caprese skewers, mushroom arancini, chicken and eggplant Parm bites and southwest egg roll with chicken and another order with marinated tofu. We made some fruit trays as a refreshing dessert. Thank you for choosing Kim & Lou's Lil Bites.

Always a pleasure taking care of Fujiki Dental's orders. We were also excited to add our new menu options, beef tenderloin crostini and chicken and waffles bites (gluten-free option). We also received great feedback from our dentist, Dr. Mark Fujiki. What a great dental office as well. Our family has been going there for close to 30 years now.

We are thankful for all the orders we received from our new and current customers. It was another amazing year that Kim and I enjoyed baking and putting our delicious Christmas Treat boxes together.

Hello everyone! We haven't posted for a while but have been working on our upcoming Christmas baked goodies. We will be deciding on what we will be adding this year. A few of the top picks over the past few years will be back. These include chocolate dipped koularakia, salted caramel pecan bars, eggnog snicker doodles, Scottish shortbread and chocolate shortbread..and more.

Keep an eye out as we will be posting the goodies list and some pictures of our new choices and our pricing. We will also be taking orders this week.

Felt adventurous today . Made chicken and waffles for dinner. Oh did I mention it is all gluten-free? Used boneless skinless chicken breast and plant based butter with honey and hot sauce on top. Thinking we can make these bite size for our menu. (Btw family loved it!!! They even ran back for seconds)

Just got home after a week's vacation in Grenada. Not many are aware but Grenada is known as "The Spice Island" in the Caribbean. They are known for their fresh nutmeg and cinnamon. Not the cinnamon we get in North America, they produce Ceylon Cinnamon which has better flavor and has more health benefits. Just look at the difference in size.

This year our will have some amazing flavour when we use these fresh spices in our pies.
