I wanted to come on and say thankyou to everyone for your kindness and condolences after the sudden and unexpected passing of my lovely mum in February. Honestly the messages I’ve received have been such a comfort, and it’s clear that for those of you who either met or knew her, she left a lasting memory.
I’ve had a lot to think about during this time away from new orders, and was giving serious consideration to closing the business permanently. I simply didn’t have the headspace to deal with the admin required, and was in a state of physical and mental exhaustion.
BUT a couple of months away have given me the space & rest I needed, and I’m happy to say that I’ll be reopening my order books on the 1st of May.
That being said, I will be returning to birthday/occasion/novelty cakes only, and will not be doing weddings going forward. This is purely for admin reasons as the process is lengthy & complicated, and honestly they’re a considerable commitment which I don’t feel ready to take on just now. I hope that makes sense.
So thankyou again for bearing with me during what has been a really tough time, and watch this space for a return to the cake pics!
