Just north of Whitby is little Sandsend.

Understated it has everything, a river for paddling when the waves are too rough, three little cafes and Fish Cottage for fish and chips, cute gift shops and something a little bit different, a wild sauna!

On a clear day you can also get a wonderful view of Whitby Abbey.

Peony season is almost over and there are so many beautiful peony and rose displays in Yorkshire, take a trip to one of these wonderful locations.

Even on a cloudy day Staithes on the North Yorkshire Coast is charming.

A quaint fishing village with postcard looks. Stacks of lobster crates are still visible on the quayside. It’s full of maritime history being the home of Captain Cook the legendary explorer.. Now home to artists and fossil hunters due to it perfectly positioned on the Dinosaur Coast.

Go early to avoid the crowds and pick up a coffee and breakfast at Cobbles.
