Sign this petition to reduce the VAT rate for hospitality to 10%.

Our coffee shops, takeaways, cafes, local producers, food vendors, bakeries, and many others form the heart of our communities, but they are currently facing challenges.

Our local food businesses are about more than just serving food. They generate local jobs, support local communities & suppliers, drive tourism, and keep our high streets alive, yet we are under considerable pressure from rising costs.

Many small businesses are on the brink of collapse due to these high expenses, and we urgently need your support.

Our message to the Government is clear. Let's come together to express that a 10% VAT rate on hospitality is fair and justified.

The Northern Ireland Food-To-Go Association are backing and urge all Food-To-Go businesses to do the same.

Yesterday, Sinley, on behalf of the STAR Allergy Awareness Card Project, had the privilege of being invited to the “Big House on the Hill” for the launch of the National Allergy Strategy.

It was fantastic to meet the “hob nobs” and hear about the plans to help create a safer, more inclusive environment for people living with allergies.

The strategy aims to support those with allergies, giving them greater confidence when eating out and helping businesses better understand and cater for their needs.

We’re proud to play a small part in raising awareness and making dining experiences safer, more welcoming, and more inclusive for everyone. ❤️

Bank Holiday controversy incoming 👀

Our team work through Christmas, New Year, Easter and most public holidays, so this year we’ve made the conscious decision to close on Bank Holidays and swap the Woks for family time ❤️

Our Gluten Free journey started almost 30 years ago when Sharon had two friends who were coeliac. At the same time, my father was attending appointments with the dietitian at Mid Ulster Hospital, and between their experiences, guidance and advice, it opened our eyes to how important safe food preparation really was.

Back then, gluten free ingredients were hard to source and allergy awareness in the catering industry wasn’t talked about the way it is today. We knew if we were going to offer gluten free and allergy-friendly options, we had to truly understand it and do it properly.

Over the years, with support and guidance from the Star Allergies Awareness Card Project, Team Sinley developed a much better understanding of allergies, cross contamination, kitchen procedures and customer communication. It helped us improve every step of the customer journey — from the first conversation at the counter, to passing clear allergy information to the kitchen team, right through to serving a meal customers can enjoy with confidence.

We’re still learning every day, but one thing has never changed — everyone deserves to enjoy a meal out with their friends and family without fear or worry.

For us, it’s not just about “free from” food… it’s about trust, care and making people feel safe and welcome the moment they walk through the door ❤️
