We take inspiration from French cafés to bring you on a journey of exciting new flavours and delicious treats. My “Petit café de la semaine” this week marks France’s first game in the world cup last night.

An Iced Crème Brulée latte, topped with a red vanilla cold foam and football sprinkles.

Is it pretty? No… but neither was last night’s first half to be honest! 😉

The Scottish cup from last week is still available for the faithful and optimistic fans among you. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Happy Tuesday, I hope you all had lovely weekends!

I’ll be back at the beach from 10:30 to 3pm Wednesday to Saturday this week, hope to see you there!

Growing up in France at the peak of French football aka, the 1998 world cup and their 3-0 victory against Brazil, it was very hard not to get caught up in the football madness…

I can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but I can still remember the names of players in the 1998 French football squad: that’s how much of a cultural impact they had on my generation.

Tonight, I will be reliving those glory days and cheering on my second home team: Allez les bleus! On est les champions! 🇫🇷⚽️🇫🇷

Well… it’s grey, it’s windy, but I’m here.
And I’m bringing the party to Findhorn beach.
All that’s missing is you!

I get it, you are sleeping in so that you can be ready to go at 2am.

You know what you will see you through until the game? A few coffees and enough sweet treats to keep that sugar high going until the final whistle!

This week, I’m going all out to cheer for Scotland in the World Cup! ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎉

It’s been 28 years since we last took part in this football tournament, so we need to celebrate accordingly!

⚽️ Do we think we’ll win the cup? Absolutely not.
⚽️ Do we think we’ll even make it out of the group stages? Nope.
⚽️ But will we have a jolly old time no matter what happens? Absolutely, because we’re just happy to be included!

So, my “Petit café de la semaine” is my own ode to the world cup:
