Overdale holiday cottage Overdale is a self catering cottage sleeping up to 6 with stunning views over Wensleydale. Overdale is a 16th century dales cottage in Wensleydale near Hawes.

It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. It is comfortably furnished and has many additional features over and above the average self catering cottage - as an example, there are maps and guide books a plenty and there is a huge range of toys and children's books, as well as lots of games and books for all ages. It is located in an idyllic position with great walks right from the door. The views from the cottage

are breath taking. Overdale is an ideal base for an active holiday or somewhere simply to relax. There are plenty of interesting places to visit - both for adults and children. We (the owners) use the cottage ourselves quite regularly but we offer it - at reasonable rates - to other families, to help pay for its upkeep! 🚉 Today is the 40th anniversary of the reopening of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Ribblehead, Dent, Garsdale and Kirkby Stephen stations.

These stations closed in 1970 when local stopping services were withdrawn, but were brought back into use when a new local service between Skipton and Carlisle was introduced on 14 July 1986

Members of the Friends of Garsdale Station will be at the station today from 11am–3pm to welcome visitors and share stories from the campaign.
