Well our small fish n chip promotional offer has certainly been a huge success since we opened it started as a lunchtime special and has turned into an all day thing….
I understand not everyone has the appetite for a huge chunk of fish and a mountain of chips so this is a perfect size for those that want a lighter meal or who just want to see what our fish and chips are like ….
The fish that we offer on the £7 deal changes daily often haddock , po***ck , hake or cod today we are starting off with cod I’ve literally just cut nearly 100 portions and if they all sell we will be switching over to haddock if you ask your server we will always tell you what fish is in the deal that day .

We are currently hiring for 3 positions -availability for evening and weekend work is essential for all the positions.

• Part time – Counter Assistant
• Part time – Washer Up (Friday and Saturday evenings)
• Full time – Fryer

Please note due to location own/reliable transport will be essential as no public transport is available.

Wage will be dependent on age and experience.

Did you know we offer a gluten free menu 7 days a week here at Burnett’s fish and chips .

We have a separate designated fryer that will only ever be used to cook gluten free products in .
It has its own separate hot holding area that no non gluten free food will be stored in .
It also has its own chip box so again no risk of cross contamination.
We have 100% colour coded equipment for our gluten free food .
We have separate fridges and freezers so again no risk of cross contamination…
We even have a separate built in filtration system again to clean the oil and no risk of cross contamination.
And finally we have a separate gluten free batter making area that’s only use is to make gluten free batter in again removing the risk of any cross contamination…..

Slightly different to our fresh fish posts …

I have a large amount of these Taco Bell trays that I inherited when I took over this unit I don’t want to send them to landfill are they any use to any of you ?
Before you ask for sizes I seem to have misplaced my tape measure so I’ve added a second photo with a piece of a4 on the tray for size .

The shop is finally taking shape we have ironed out 95% of our teething problems 🙏

I certainly made a few mistakes with the menu and leaving cod off was a huge error on my part so it’s on the menu permanently for you all to enjoy.

I also need to apologise for keep running out of fish were very fortunate to get delivery’s of fresh fish 5 days a week and I’ve been blown away just how busy we have become in such a short space of time it’s taken me by surprise .

We’re having continued problems with the internet here and hopefully that will be sorted soon but if anyone has had the pleasure of dealing with bt business you will know the pain of actually talking to them and getting anything done but I am now on 1st name terms with all the engineers 🤣soon as this is sorted I will be pushing the home delivery’s via uber eats and just eat .

The lunch time specials are proving a huge success as well as our gluten free menu I’m so glad we invested so much time and effort into the gluten free kitchen.

The catch of the days are proving very popular and now we’re so busy I can start buying in more varieties for you all to try .

So thanks for all your patience and support over the past few weeks and for you all taking the time to give us positive and negative comments we simply can’t improve without feedback ###

At long last we finally have some signage going up !!!!!!

It certainly took a lot longer then we had anticipated but it’s lovely finally having our signage up after such a long time it’s just a shame they took so long but I’m guessing that’s the joys of working in a service station with multiple moving parts .

We’re in the process of tweaking our internal menu and will be pleased to share with you all soon ###
