Book & Beyond We are a reading group based in Larne. We meet once a month on the 1st Sunday of the month. Venues for meetings vary but are usually in a local coffee shop.

We are a sociable group and love to chat about books and everything else! All are welcome to join.

We gave The Artist by Lucy Steed a score of 6.4 out of 10, with the highest score being 10 and the lowest 2! We appreciated the evocative descriptions of Provence and could almost feel the sunlight and taste the food, however we felt the ending was quite abrupt and would like to have followed Ettie and Joseph's story further.

We had very mixed reviews for The Bookclub for Troublesome Women. Scores out of 10 ranged from 2 to 9, with an average of 6. We were outraged by the constraints for women in 1960s suburban America but we felt the characters weren't fully developed enough to provide an engaging storyline.
