We thank everyone for your kind messages and for sharing your happy memories about Jaime.

We are struggling with sorrow and grief but we plan to open this evening and for the rest of the week including on Sunday which is of course Fathers Day!

We trust you will be kind and understanding if our service falters occasionally.

Please note we will be offering a shorter menu this evening, which will include grill, pizza and pasta. And we have only two TVs for the England match this evening, one in the bar area and one on the dining side. First come first served for seating!

It is with profound sadness and grief that we have to inform you our friend and chef extraordinaire Jaime passed away this morning following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

He will be missed!

Enjoy roast Scotch beef, roast confit chicken, roast English lamb and roast lentil cake with the house Yorkshire puddings and the house bone marrow gravy... everything made from scratch, not bought in and/or reheated.

Sammy's at The yellow house is where you need to go if you appreciate good food and friendly service by The yellow house team who have been serving Sunday roasts and more in SE16 for over 20 years!
