A little update and clarification about The Pan Yard 😊🍕

As many of you know, The Pan Yard started August 2025 from home as a collection-only Detroit-style pizza business. One of the biggest reasons for moving into a new premises was because so many customers asked about delivery, and this move allows us to finally offer that service.

We want to be clear that The Pan Yard is still primarily a made-to-order pizza takeaway and delivery business — we are not becoming a traditional sit-down restaurant or a fast-food dining venue.

The small seating area we have is simply an extra option for customers who travel further than Louth to collect. When we were operating from home, some customers were travelling a distance to pick up their pizzas, and we wanted to provide somewhere they could sit and enjoy their food if they wished. We had the space we didnt want to hust have it empty.

There will be no table service, no restaurant-style setup, no cutlery etc... pizzas will still be served in takeaway boxes. Our main focus remains exactly the same — freshly made Detroit-style pizzas for collection and delivery 🍕

The space, including the facilities, has been designed around the type of business we are and the space available to us. We have worked hard to make the best use of what we have and create somewhere we are proud of.

We know we can’t be everything to everyone, but we hope our customers understand that our priority has always been serving great pizza and creating the best experience we can within the type of business we are.

A quick little update 😊

We’ve had a few people mention they are getting a dead link when trying to access our website. We’ve checked the links we have access to and they are all working, and some people are finding us by searching “The Pan Yard” on Google with no problems.

Please don’t worry too much if you see this — at the moment the website is only showing the information page anyway.

We’re still very much in the setup process for our new ordering system, and it’s definitely taking longer than we expected! There are so many different parts to get sorted, and different people helping with different areas of the system, so it’s been a lot to get our heads around.

We’ve got the internet sorted, our POS system is set up, and we’re now working through the rest of the setup process.

Once everything is finally in place, I then have the fun job of learning how to use it all 😂 I’ve never used anything like this before, so it’s going to be a learning curve!

We’re getting there though, slowly but surely. Thank you for your patience while we work through all the final bits ❤️

🥤 Drinks are coming next weekend!

We’re starting with the basics — Fruit Shoots, Coca-Cola Original, Cloudy Lemonade and still water — and buying in small batches while we figure out what our customers actually want.

So, what drink do you usually order with a takeaway? If you don’t usually order a drink at all, tell us that too!

Well... we couldn't have a brand new pizza oven without testing it! 🍕🔥

So today we made our very first pizza at our new premises.

We think it's safe to say the oven passed the test! 😍

Every little step gets us closer.
