Situated in Milfield Village, a classic stone building dating back to the mid 1700's. Originally frequented by the Sheep Drovers of the northern counties and became a major resting point for the Mail Stage Coach carrying passengers and mail between Edinburgh and London. Home to the village leek club and host to other groups like the Borders Gliding Club who operate from the Air Field, used as a tr

aining base for pilots during World War II. Diners can be assured of wholesome home cooked food, freshly prepared using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Relax and indulge on such treats as honey roast pork belly, homemade steak and ale pie or pan fried salmon fillet, with garlic king prawns, followed by decadent homemade desserts. We have a traditional roast carvery offered every Sunday.

The Red Lion, Milfield is looking for one Front of House / Bartending team member to join our already fabulous team over the summer!

🍻 Approx. 20 hours per week
🍷 Front of house & bartending role
🕒 Flexible working hours – mainly evenings & weekends
✅ Experience preferred
🔞 Must be 18+

We’re looking for someone friendly, reliable and hardworking who enjoys working in a busy, welcoming environment. There is potential for the role to continue beyond the summer for the right person.

I think we have all recovered from our bank holiday charity walk and we wanted to announce a FANTASTIC £670 was raised!!!! We want to thank everyone for being so supportive in so many ways 🎉
Adding this to the money raised on burns night… the total amount raised for Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team comes to a whopping £933 so far this year!

We would love to add more charity walking dates to the diary so keep your eyes on our socials!

WE ARE FINISHED!!! And what a fabulous time was had!!!
What we thought was going to take 5-6 hours… we did it in just under 4!! 🎉 and are now celebrating with chilli and a cold beverage!
