ROASTER RESIDENCY: SOLAS COFFEE ROASTERS

We’re so delighted to bring from Wicklow, Ireland to Birmingham!

Focusing on exceptional coffee crops with beautiful varietals and precision processing Solas are supplying us for the next month with some truly incredible coffees. Espresso, filter, retail; the works!

Our first espresso is a bonkers lot from Finca Rio Negro in Huila, Colombia. A pink bourbon varietal that’s boasts huge sweetness and creamy texture. Super juicy with notes of watermelon, raspberry and strawberry.

Thanks to Craig and the team for making all this possible. Some of our favourite coffees to date and excited to start drinking and brewing them on bar!

It’s Honey Mango season. Depending on who you ask they’re the best mangoes and only available in the UK for a month or so. To honour these delicious little morsels we’ve taken a few and created our own mango lassi using Greek yoghurt and semi-oxidised Oolong tea from

COLD CRISP CLARITY.

We love an icy coffee moment, especially in this weather, and making them perfectly is always the aim.

Everything measured out to make sure drinks aren’t over-diluted and washed out. The same drinks we make all year with just a little change in Celsius (we refuse to recognise Fahrenheit).

Espresso currently is a beautiful natural Rwandan coffee with bright sweet notes of pineapple, green apple and red berries 🍍🍏🍓🇷🇼

We’ve stacked the shelves with truly stunning retail INCLUDING some Double Carbonic Maceration lots from La Luisa in Colombia (one for all you Co-Ferment fans for sure!) 🇨🇴

Thanks to Daniel for sourcing all of the incredible coffees we have in store right now and we can’t wait to hear what you all think!

OUR “COLD BREW”

Why the air quotes? We’re glad you asked!

A truly wonderful cold brew is always effortless than just putting coffee grounds and cold water in the fridge for ages. Being big on Batch Brew we take a different approach: brewing hot, concentrated filter over ice to flash freeze all that deliciousness in.

Pair this process with a crazy Passionfruit co-fermented Colombian coffee from El Vergel estate and you’ve got arguably the best drink for 30C weather.
