Hello beautiful people!

Our Live Music Evening on Thursday 26ᵗʰ November is completely sold out, thank you all so much 🎶

Good news though. There is still room on Thursday 17ᵗʰ December, and Rhian and Steve will be playing some Christmas tunes alongside the favourites. Great food, live music and a bit of festive cheer, a lovely way to start the Christmas season.

Buongiorno Ponty!

Come and try our special Halloween Pizza 🍕 di Zucco 🎃. Sage and pumpkin base, mozzarella and gorgonzola, spicy nduja and Italian sausage, all on a crust with that proper blistered char. Sweet, creamy and a little bit fiery in every bite.

Careful, this pizza is bewitched. One bite and you will be coming back for another.

Bore da Ponty! 🎃👻

Something wicked is happening in the Rustico kitchen. Our Halloween 👻 specials menu is out and it is frighteningly good. The only real danger is leaving hungry.

Pizza di Zucco 🍕 comes with a sage and pumpkin base 🎃, mozzarella, gorgonzola, spicy nduja and Italian sausage. Autumn on a pizza, with a kick.

We also have the always requested Pizza Ivano🍕, named after the Italian who runs our socials. Garlic butter base, gorgonzola, goats cheese, walnuts, rocket and a drizzle of hot honey🍯

And if pasta 🍝 is calling, we are serving a sage and pumpkin pasta dish with fresh mozzarella and crispy Parma ham.

The only spooky 🕷️🫣🕸️👻 thing about this menu is how fast we expect it to empty. Come and find us from 12 noon.

Just a little FYI that we are fully booked this evening from 6pm with our ever popular live music night. The next one is Thursday 26th November and Thursday 17th December. No entry fee, no tickets, just book, eat, drink and enjoy.

Bore da Ponty!

This weekend Ponty is celebrating Morfydd Llwyn Owen, the composer born right here in Treforest in 1891. She wrote music that people still perform today, and she was only 26 when she died.

Today Ponty is full of music and things to do. Live music starts on Taff Street from 11 and carries on all day. At 12 the museum, just round the corner from us, has a talk and performance with Dr Rhian Davies and Gareth Bonello, known as The Gentle Good. Tonight at 7 Amy Wadge hosts the Writers' Round at Y Muni, also close by. Booking is essential for that one.

Our plan for the day: music on Taff Street, the museum at 12, then lunch with us. Or come for dinner before you head to Y Muni. A fresh pizza or a pasta dish works either way.

We are not part of the festival, but we are proud to be a few steps from it all.

Buongiorno 😎 Ponty!

New week, new specials board, and the kitchen has gone all in. Leading the way is the 🍕 Pizza 🐷 Maiale: Italian sausage, ham, meatballs and pepperoni on a crust fresh out of the oven. Four toppings, one pizza, zero regrets.

Also on the board this week:
🍝 Tagliatelle Salmone, smoked salmon in a creamy wild mushroom sauce
🍝 Pesto Pasta with homemade pesto, fresh mozzarella and crispy Parma ham
🍕 Pizza 🇮🇹 Ivano with garlic butter base, gorgonzola, goats cheese, onion, walnuts, rocket and hot honey

The Italian who runs our socials would like it noted that his pizza is still on the board. We told him the Maiale is getting the spotlight this week. He is coping.
