An afternoon session featuring local singer-songwriters, artists and performers.

An opportunity for singers and other musicians to showcase new and original material, or re-interpret classic hits in a vibrant but intimate setting.

This week "The Acoustics" entertain, a duo featuring Michele Nardell, accomplished jazz and soul singer, turning her talent to more classic rock, blues and soul, accompanied by Luke on guitar and vocals.

Support is provided by Matt Szul playing a set of folk, blues and original compositions.

Marie Dance is a Folk/Rock Singer/songwriter from the south coast of England.

She has a unique talent for songwriting and connecting with her audience through song. Her innovative creative style has attracted the attention of the American Billboard charts and BBC Introducing.
She has gained critical acclaim for her Purple Shoes Album ‘Small Town Fairy tales’ with reviews in Mojo and Fatea magazine and international radio play.

NB - due to England's glorious, yet somewhat unexpected progression through the FIFA World Cup stages, we have moved the scheduled band "Dolly Dagger" from this Saturday to August 1st.

We will be showing the game. England are playing Norway: kick-off is 10 pm, the stadium is the Hard Rock in Florida and the referee is Donald Trump, apparently the man who also invented football.

Just to clarify this isn't happening because we want to show the football match. This was agreed after consultation with "Dolly Dagger".

Obviously, the band doesn't want to play to a diminished audience, which in our experience is highly likely in these circumstances.

Secondly, our ability to pay musicians as a venue is dependent on customer attendance. Again, if as a consequence of the football match attendance is low, even from customers not wanting to watch the band, it inhibits our ability to promote future musical events.

Yes – every second Thursday of the month, unless specified, we open up the microphone to any one with a few scribbles on a scrap of paper and a need to express themselves through speakers – that is to say, that it isn’t necessarily poetry.

We also take personal stories, ranting and comedy as well as all forms of excellent verbiage.
