Firebeacon Farm We are a family run farm. Producing Beef boxes and burgers from our grass fed Native Dexter cattle and Wagyu.

We also run a flock of native Coloured Ryeland and Exmoor Horn sheep, producing grass fed lamb boxes and burgers.

A wonderful evening to be a wild chicken!
Wild chicken has been for her evening snacks from William before he went to bed, now she is busy scavenging bugs and grubs for supper!

We have moved all our cattle and sheep into fields where they have access to woodland, high hedges or free access into the barns for shade during the hot days this week.

We have lots of grass to graze in other fields, but as they have minimal shade we will wait until it is cooler weather to graze them off.

We are very lucky to have the big woodland bordering us, and the last two years we have let our hedges grow up and thicken- allowing much more shade and shelter for the animals in the heat or colder months.

The cows have all come out of the woods and hedges to graze now the sun is starting to set.

The sheep have had a dose of flypour and moved to pasture with lots of lovely shade early this morning before the heat gets too much.

Driving into the summer solstice sunset after visiting our special friend Diana Smith 💕

Di AKA Auntie Moomin, has been a special friend of Amy's for over 24years.

She is the owner/breeder of the prestigious Moomin herd of pedigree Dexters, one of the best herds in the world for quality Dexter cattle, having bred the world congress Champion. Di also bred Moomin Harris the UK Dexter National Champion 2026.

So many lovley calves born this spring/summer. We have been very lucky with our calving season so far. Only a few cows left to calve!

Every morning on her way to school Rosie walks down to say good morning to her pet lambs!

Pet lamb is another word for orphan lamb, a lamb with mother.

We have 7 this year due to one reason or another and Roise is doing a fantastic job rearing them on.

Our Coloured Ryelands are such wonderful quiet, friendly natured sheep. They are a favourite here at Fireveacon Farm.
