My mum told me I wasn't allowed to run my stall yesterday... 😱
Well... that's not entirely true (but there's definitely some truth to it 😂)
One of the most exciting things to happen behind the scenes recently is that my mum is now officially part of the Fussy Bakes team! 🧡 Which means I've somehow ended up employing my own mum. That's right - I'm her boss now. (I'm sure she'll be reminding me who's actually in charge before long 😅)
You all know and love my mum already, but yesterday she ran the stall completely on her own, and I couldn't be prouder! 👏🏻
I was basically told that if I'm paying her, I might as well go and have a bit of a weekend. So Adam and I took the opportunity to do a parkrun together - something we love but rarely get chance to do!
Yesterday was a huge milestone for both of us. For Mum, it was about building confidence running the stall solo. For me... it was about learning to let go of the reins (which, if you know me, is probably the harder job! 🤣)
So please join me in saying "Congratulations, Angela!" 🎉 and officially welcome her to the Fussy Bakes team (even though she's felt like part of it from day one!)
I'm so excited about what this means for the future of Fussy Bakes. It's a huge step for our little business, and I genuinely couldn't think of anyone better to be on this journey with 🧡
