A new coffee truck at a Co. Clare beauty spot has enjoyed a roaring success in its first week of opening.

Thank you to every single person who’s stopped by for a cuppa, a chat, or just to see what Scald is all about since we opened the hatch.

And who better to be our very first customer, none other than parish royalty himself - only Johnny Halloran. Our favourite person, our day one, and now officially part of Scald history. Couldn’t have had a better man to kick it all off. ✨ 🧋

Every visitor, every chat, every kind word, and every friendly face that has stopped or passed by has meant the world to us.

We couldn’t have asked for a better beginning. Here’s to all the moments still to come, we’re only getting started 💪🫶

Something special is brewing…
After many late nights and countless cups of coffee, Scald is nearly ready to roll!
Launching soon on the breathtaking Flaggy Shore along the Wild Atlantic Way, our little horse box trailer is more than just a coffee stop — designed and created for the lovely folks of New Quay and further afield, it’s a place to come and gather, share stories, and take a moment.
We’re here for the early risers, the wave watchers, the wanderers and many more. So come take a pew, soak in the view, and treat yourself to a proper cup and a homemade bite.
Our little coffee trailer will be brewing up good vibes, strong coffee, and sweet treats right by the sea.
It’s been a dream (and a few burnt fingers) in the making, and we’re nearly ready to open the hatch!
Think seaside sips, homemade bites, and a spot to chill and watch the waves roll in.
Scald is your new go-to for caffeine, craic, and coastal views so here’s hoping we’ll see you very soon!
