Nearby there is swimming, diving, surfing, sailing, horseriding, birdwatching, golfing and lots of walks. There is a famine village which shows what life was like back in the 1840s. Two ferries one from Greencastle in Inishowen going to Magilligan in Northern Ireland. People take this ferry going to the Giants Causeway and Bushmills Distillery. The Ferry goes all year and it is a ten minute crossing. The other Ferry goes from Buncrana to Rathmullan to the Fanad Peninsula. This is summer time only.

This man stayed with us last night and fuelled up with a hearty breakfast taking on an unbelievable challenge
— running from Mizen Head to Malin Head… and now he’s heading all the way back again. 🏃‍♂️

Wishing Chris the very best of luck as he sets off back to Mizen Head today!

For anyone who doesn’t know, he is running the full Mizen to Malin route and back in support of family carers in Ireland — an incredible cause and an even more incredible effort.

By now plenty of you might’ve heard that I’m heading up Mayo’s highest mountain, Mweelrea, to raise funds for the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association as part of Adrian Harkin’s Summit 2 Sea for MND challenge. Adrian set up Inish Adventures in Moville and was diagnosed with MND in 2022. This Saturday, 20th of April, teams will be circumnavigating Ireland by kayak, as well as heading up the 32 highest peaks in each county. Can you help us clean up Malin Head? We want support from all the sports groups and businesses to make Malin head look its best. Every little helps. Bags and gloves which are sponsored by Donegal County Council can be got in the community centre.
