When we design minimalist spaces, we naturally focus on eliminating visual noise. We remove heavy frames, hide jambs, and strip away decorative moldings to achieve seamless continuity.

However, reducing visual noise often heightens another architectural challenge: acoustic privacy. Large-format spaces, polished surfaces, and flush walls require strategic sound management to remain functional and private.

At Linvisibile, we engineered a solution where radical aesthetics and certified performance coexist. Our Filo 5 and Filo 10 hinged doors provide high-performance acoustic isolation (up to 37 dB), proving that a flush-to-wall system can deliver heavy-duty performance.

When a concealed door closer is installed or adjusted incorrectly, it can do the opposite of what it’s designed for: the hinged leaf feels heavier, movement becomes less fluid, and closing can be inconsistent.

Architectures within architectures: rethinking urban layouts in Bologna.

Designed by CONTROLUCE architettura, FS apartment addresses the constraints of existing building heritage through a bespoke "magic box." This structural unit acts as a functional bookcase interface in the living room, hiding the concealed access points to storage and private quarters.

Total visual integration is achieved when architectural hardware serves a higher spatial strategy. Our Filo 5 Hinged doors disappear directly into the custom bookcase layout, managing traffic flows to the guest bathroom and sleeping quarters without interrupting the geometric rhythm of the room.

At SP House, Linvisibile's "As Wall" integration allows the doors to adopt the exact neutral tones of the surrounding surfaces, leaving the bespoke furnishings and subtle textures of light wood to define the space.

The result is a highly functional layout where the architecture serves as a silent, continuous backdrop.

To maintain a sense of lightness, the designer utilized Linvisibile hinged and pivot doors that disappear completely into the surfaces. For certain focal points, the addition of an arched flush door breaks the traditional geometry, creating a distinct visual dialogue.

In concealed sliding doors, millimetres matter, and serviceability is part of good design.

The horizontal and vertical infilling profiles you see at the top and side are designed to keep critical adjustment points accessible.

This allows installers to fine-tune:
- panel height (maintaining correct clearances and smooth sliding)
- planarity (achieving a true flush-to-wall closed-door effect)
- opening/closing stops (consistent positioning over time)

A frequent site mistake is sealing these gaps completely. It may look “clean” initially, but it prevents access for adjustments and maintenance.
