DENO FRESH BAKE PAN CAKE RECIPE
Ingredients:
Water/Milk: 750ml (Divide 325ml)
Lemon Zest: 1 pc
Lemon Juice: 2ml
Sugar: 180gm
Salt: 2gm
Baking Powder: 4gm
Flour: 500gm
Cinnamon: 2gm
Eggs: 2 large pcs
Procedure:
Prepare the Wet Ingredients (Part 1):
Measure out 325ml of water or milk.
Add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the 325ml of water
Set this mixture aside.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Whisk the dry ingredients thoroughly to ensure they are evenly mixed.
Prepare the Wet Ingredients (Part 2):
In a separate bowl, lightly beat the two eggs.
Add the remaining 425ml of milk to the beaten eggs, and mix.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
Pour the 325ml water lemon mixture into the well.
Pour the 425ml egg and milk mixture into the well.
Using a whisk or spatula, gently mix the wet and dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in tough pancakes. A few lumps are okay.
Cooking the Pancakes:
Heat a non-stick griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
Lightly grease the griddle or pan with butter or oil.
Pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake.
Cook the pancakes until bubbles form on the surface and the edges begin to set (about 2-3 minutes).
Flip the pancakes and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown on both sides.
Serving:
Remove the cooked pancakes from the griddle and serve immediately.
Serve with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fruit, whipped cream, or powdered sugar.
Tips for Success:
Don't Overmix: Overmixing the batter can lead to tough pancakes. Mix until just combined.
Hot Griddle: Ensure the griddle is hot enough before adding the batter. This will help the pancakes cook evenly and prevent them from sticking.
Adjust Heat: If the pancakes are browning too quickly, reduce the heat.
Keep Warm: If you're making a large batch, keep the cooked pancakes warm in a low oven (200°F or 90°C) while you finish cooking the rest.
DENO FRESH BAKE PAN CAKES! Whether you go for those crispy-edged pancakes or love them soft and fluffy, remember—how you use butter changes everything. Too much butter in the pan or batter? You’ll end up with thick, heavy pancakes that miss the mark. For that golden crunch on the edges, just a touch of butter on a hot pan does the trick. If soft is your vibe, keep it light and let the batter shine.
