Wagyu Kanata Authentic Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) Restaurant in Amsterdam. We are a yakiniku restaurant situated in Amsterdam, specialized in Wagyu beef.

We offer different cuts of Wagyu beef, other meat, seafood and vegetables to grill on your own table. Each table at our restaurant has a built in grill with individual exhaust hoods so that you can enjoy Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) in a traditional and authentic way! We also offer a variety of Japanese drinks and side dishes for a full Yakiniku experience. We look forward to receiving you!!

An Exclusive Omakase Experience

We’re thrilled to announce that we will be collaborating with .tokyo to deliver you an unforgettable omakase experience at our private dining room!

8 nights, only this May
12 seats per night

This intimate event offers a rare opportunity to experience 81 Tokyo’s visionary Japanese cuisine—right here in Amsterdam—alongside our signature dishes and new creations crafted exclusively for this collaboration.

Founded by Chef Takeshi Nagashima ( ), 81 Tokyo is a Michelin-starred project known for its boundary-breaking culinary artistry and immersive storytelling. His background includes training at the legendary El Bulli, and his work seamlessly fuses tradition with innovation.

Leading the project is Executive Chef Paco La Monica ( ), whose journey spans kitchens like Noma, Gaggan, and Koks, and includes kaiseki training in Japan. Paco brings together Japanese precision and Mediterranean soul in every bite.

In collaboration with WAGYU KANATA, this will be 81 Tokyo’s first appearance in the Netherlands—a one-of-a-kind celebration of craft, creativity, and flavor at our exclusive private dining room.
