📣 THE BETTER BATTER WINTER BREAK NOTICE

And just like that… it’s that time of the year again❄️

After another big, busy, beautiful season by the lake, our tiny team is getting ready for a little early winter hibernation🐻‍❄️

To every single person who stopped by this season—whether it was for a quick feed, a little chat by the trailer window, or one of those long queue waits in the cold—THANK YOU💙

Every kind word, message, wave, returning face, and all your support really got us through another huge season.

Some days were super hot, freezing, wet, chaotic, exhausting, and incredibly busy.. but we couldn’t have done another season without you all🥹🫶

We’ll be taking a short seasonal break before the real Tekapo winter settles in properly. We’re hoping to be back before the end of June—just not 100% sure on the exact reopening date yet, but we’ll keep everyone updated as always☃️

Until then, stay warm, take care, and we’ll see you again by Lakeside soon🫶

As the busy season rolls in, our tiny team has been working extra hard behind the scenes.
To stay healthy and keep serving our very best each day, we’re making a temporary little adjustment to our trading hours.

⏰ New Summer Hours
1:00pm – 6:00pm
(Last order at 6:00pm)
Closed Thursdays

Please keep in mind we may also be closed on rainy or windy days, as the weather can make things a bit tricky for our setup 🌧️🌪

For the most up-to-date trading hours, please check our Google status, which we always keep updated ✌️

Just a wee update — we’re now open from 12:30pm to 7:30pm ⏰ for the winter season.

No more break time in between — we’re here all day while the sun’s up (and a bit after too!).

Thanks so much for your support and for braving the chilly days with us!

Hey everyone 💙
We’re so glad to finally say — we’re back! It’s been a wee while, and we can’t thank you enough for waiting for us.

Your patience, messages, and understanding while we took a break mean so much to us. We know it’s not easy when your local fish & chips spot disappears for a bit — so thank you for sticking with us, truly.

We’ve missed seeing your faces, hearing your stories, and cooking for you by the lake. Now we’re ready to fire up the fryer again and share some good chats and warm food together.

From tomorrow, Monday the 21st of July,
we’ll be here as usual:
Lunch: 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Dinner: 5 pm – 8 pm

As another wonderful season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say a massive thank you for your incredible support throughout the year. Your friendly faces, warm greetings, and unwavering love for our food truly keep us going — and we’re beyond grateful💙

With the chilly winter months settling in, Team Better Batter will be taking a short seasonal break. We’ll be recharging for a few weeks and aim to return around mid-July — we’ll keep you posted on the exact reopening date closer to the time.

In the meantime, please stay warm, stay safe, and know that we already miss serving up those hot, crispy feeds by the Lakeside🥺

A huge thank you to all our Better Batter Friends for your incredible patience! We hope you’ve been staying warm and cozy during the last few weeks while we were away.

We’re thrilled to be back home here in Tekapo with exciting news - WE ARE OPENING FOR MATARIKI DAY and onward🎉 Our operation hours remain the same: 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm for lunch, and 5 pm to 8 pm for dinner.⏰

We can’t wait to see you again! Come on down to Lakeside Drive for your heartwarming lunch and dinner, plus some catch-up, a little chitchat, and lots of laughter! We’ve missed you all so much and are looking forward to reconnecting. Again, we appreciate every single one of your support. Spreading love🫶

Just a quick shoutout to express our heartfelt gratitude for all your incredible support over the past few seasons. Each one of you has truly made a difference, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

As the chilly winter approaches, Team Better Batter is taking a short break for about a month(or so). But don’t worry, we’ll keep you in the loop about our reopening date. Count on us to be back before Matariki Day, ready to warm you up with our delicious and hot food by the Lakeside.

In the meantime, please stay cozy and take good care of yourselves. We’ll surely miss your smiles and friendly ‘hi’s 🥲

We are kicking off our Early Winter Break starting this Tuesday, May 7th🫣

we will be open at our usual time of 12:30 pm,
and we’ll keep serving until our stock runs out.

Team Better Batter is now back in Tekapo, after showing our loved ones some of the most magnificent spots around.
We are even more excited to share that The Better Batter will be back in action today, August 28th🎉 and trading every day until September 8th (fingers crossed Mother Nature cooperates🤞).
