Lu Sipi inspired slow-braised lamb, coconut & spinach with crisp manioke chips.

A Tongan special of tender lamb with coconut, onion and spinach, wrapped in silverbeet leaves and slow-braised for a rich, traditional Lu Sipi–style finish.

Served with crisp manioke chips.

🎉 Celebrating 1 Year in Tawa! One year ago, we opened the doors to Jamano Kitchen here in Tawa with a simple goal to share generous food, Pacific flavours, and warm hospitality with the Wellington community.

Since then, we’ve catered weddings, birthdays, family gatherings, work lunches, celebrations, and community events across the region.

From our small kitchen in wonderful Tawa, we’ve met so many incredible people and we’re genuinely grateful for every order, recommendation, comment, share, and word of support along the way.

This past weekend we were proud to cater a 40th birthday celebration with dishes including our Coconut Kumara & Chickpea Curry, Crispy Pork Belly, and Slow Braised Beef - a mix that perfectly reflects what Jamano Kitchen is about: Global Comfort, Pacific Heart.

As we celebrate our first year in Tawa, we also get ready for an exciting week ahead with Taste of Tawa beginning this Thursday.

The Festival runs from June 4th to June 21st and we'll be open:
Tuesday–Saturday
11am–3pm (or until sold out)
