Because of your support, Ejes Cafe is inspired to dream bigger, grow stronger, and serve our community with passion and heart. Your belief in us fuels our journey to turn small beginnings into meaningful impact.
Some dreams quietly live in our hearts for years, waiting for the right moment to unfold. For Maria Jessa Eludo Sitoy, that dream began in childhood, a vision of opening her own café, a space where people could gather, relax, and enjoy good food in a welcoming environment.
In 2024, that long-held dream finally came to life with the opening of Ejes Cafe in the Municipality of Cagdianao.
Although Maria Jessa’s professional background is in nursing, her passion for food, service, and community building never faded. Deep inside, she knew she wanted to create something that would bring comfort and refreshment to her community. With courage and determination, she stepped into entrepreneurship and turned her dream into reality.
Ejes Cafe was built with a clear mission to offer flavorful yet healthier snack and drink options to local residents. More than serving food and beverages, the café was designed to be a warm, inviting space where people could unwind, connect, and feel at home. Every cup served and every dish prepared carries not only quality ingredients but also heartfelt service.
Like many first-time entrepreneurs, Maria Jessa faced the challenge of learning how to manage and sustain a growing business. Passion alone was not enough — she needed guidance, structure, and strategy.
That guidance came when she was given the opportunity to join the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program of the Department of Trade and Industry. For Maria Jessa, this became a turning point.
Through the program, she gained a deeper understanding of what it truly means to run a business. She learned to manage operations more effectively, plan strategically, and think long-term. The training gave her clearer direction and strengthened her confidence as a business owner.
What once started as simply operating a café evolved into managing it with purpose and vision. The intervention not only enhanced her management practices but also helped her see new possibilities for growth and sustainability. It transformed her mindset, from just running a business to leading it with strategy and intention.
Today, Ejes Cafe stands as more than a place to enjoy snacks and drinks. It is a testament to courage, continuous learning, and the power of support. It represents a dream fulfilled and a commitment to uplifting local food choices in Cagdianao.
As Maria Jessa beautifully says,

And through Ejes Cafe, she proved that when courage meets opportunity, dreams truly become reality.
