CAMPSITE WASTE COMPACTION IN PEAK SEASON

For many, summer vacation is synonymous with camping. Feeling free, relaxed and being close to nature; the sea, a lake or excellent hiking trails in the forest or in the mountains. It is peak season for the camping business, but where a lot of tourists gather at one spot, waste management is a challenge. To deal with the waste streams camping sites benefit from waste separation and compaction solutions.

FERRERO PREMIUM CHOCOLATE FACTORY BENEFITS FROM ORWAK COMPACTION SOLUTIONS
Ferrero is one of the world’s largest sweet-packaged food companies with over 35 iconic brands known globally. Ferrero’s vast premium chocolate factory in Belgium invested in a new high-capacity compaction solution to deal with its waste streams. The factory handles 1500 tons of recyclables per year and the powerful 80 ton fully automated Orwak Horizontal baler 800 ATH, for effective compaction and baling of the materials.

Ferrero Belgium was already well acquainted with Orwak’s compaction solutions, as no less than 15 units of the multi-chamber baler 9020S and 9 units of the most compact vertical balers 3110/3120 are strategically located throughout the factory.

ORWAK BALERS TURN WASTE INTO VALUE AT PHX SKY HARBOR AIRPORT

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX Airport) is Arizona’s largest and busiest airport and the 11th busiest in the United States in terms of passenger boardings. It serves as a hub for American Airlines and a base for Frontier Airlines and Southwest Airlines and it is also home to a military air base. 5 recently installed Orwak balers help the airport recycle a new line of materials.

Each baler is strategically located on a loading dock in the vicinity of existing 60″ cardboard balers. Cardboard has been baled and recycled for quite some time, but plastic film is also a recyclable that deserves attention and being treated as a resource.

A WINNING WASTE SOLUTION FOR ST HELENS RUGBY CLUB IN ENGLAND
No doubt, the FIFA World Cup 2026 is the center of media attention now, but summer is the high season for many sports and national, regional and local matches attract enthusiastic audiences. Wherever people gather, have a good time and food and drinks are served, there is a need for an efficient waste management solution!

St Helens Rugby Football Club in England is no exception. It is the most successful club in the summer era of Rugby League and it operates the BrewDog Stadium with maximum capacity for 18,000 spectators. Orwak Easi UK advised them to install the Orwak multi-chamber baler 9020S to deal with cardboard, plastic and beer cans.

Just four weeks after the installation, the results are convincing:

160 BALERS DELIVERED TO THE LARGEST RETAIL CHAIN IN MEXICO AND CENTRAL AMERICA
Since 2024, Orwak’s sister company SULO MEXICO has installed over 160 vertical Orwak balers, of the models 3110, 3150, 3420 and 3820, at the stores of the largest retail chain in Mexico and Central America.
