From July 1, Operakällaren enters its summer season.

Throughout the summer, we will be serving our à la carte menu, shaped by the ingredients that define this moment of the year. Swedish beef tenderloin, green asparagus, strawberries, and other seasonal produce will take their place on the menu as Sweden reaches its most beautiful time.

The country is in full bloom, the ingredients are at their peak, and the dining room remains open.

As the final summer before the house closes for its extensive renovation approaches, the season feels all the more meaningful. We look forward to welcoming you.

Follow along in our format, “Wine Conversations from Nobiskällaren,” where our Head Sommelier Rasmus Klintberg takes you below the dining room and into the depths of Operakällaren’s wine cellar.

Episode 3 is now released.

This time, the conversation turns to Chartreuse. One of the few spirits that continues to evolve in the bottle, shaped by time long after it leaves the cellar. Among the bottles resting in Nobiskällaren, Rasmus explores its history, character, and the enduring fascination that surrounds it.

A closer look at the collection. One conversation at a time.

Today, Operakällaren has once again been awarded a Michelin Star. A recognition that means a great deal to us.

Operakällaren’s relationship with Michelin stretches back through generations. Through changing times, different eras, and countless services, the ambition has remained the same: to create a dining experience worthy of this remarkable house and the guests who walk through its doors.

This star belongs to our entire team. To every member of the kitchen, dining room, and wine team whose dedication and craftsmanship make Operakällaren what it is. It also belongs to those who came before us and helped shape the restaurant throughout its history.

We are deeply grateful to Michelin, and to our guests for your trust and support. Today, we celebrate. Above all, we are proud and thankful.

The final weekend of May is here.

And with it, the final two weeks of Le Grand Menu before it steps aside for the summer season.

Until June 13, the menu remains a journey through the ideas, ingredients, and craftsmanship that define this moment in our dining room. After that, Operakällaren continues throughout July with our à la carte menu, before Le Grand Menu returns on August 20.

We look forward to welcoming you to our table.

Nobiskällaren Selections.

From the depths of Nobiskällaren, bottles and stories await. In this format, our Head Sommelier Rasmus Klintberg invites you into one of Sweden’s most remarkable wine cellars. Here, he presents selected wines from the collection, offering a closer look at their origin, character, and the moments they are destined for.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – Monopole Vineyards Two vineyards. Two eras. One of the most revered domaines in the world.

Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, both monopoles of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, are owned and farmed exclusively by this mythical domaine, considered by many to be among the greatest in the world.

The pairing of 1989 and 2019 reflects a 30-year perspective that we have the privilege to work with. Not a complete vertical, but a rare breadth nonetheless – spanning 15 vintages of La Tâche and 19 vintages of Romanée-Conti within that period. A testament to both continuity and variation over time.

1989, a benchmark vintage, speaks of maturity, depth, and the quiet complexity that only time can reveal. 2019 represents a modern classic – precision, clarity, and a growing season that delivered both concentration and balance.

Across both wines and vintages runs a defining thread: an unwavering commitment to detail, a profound respect for terroir, and an ability to translate each year into something unmistakably its own.

Saturday, June 13 marks the final opportunity to experience Le Grand Menu before it disappears for its summer intermission.
Operakällaren will remain open throughout July, when the dining room transitions into the rhythm of summer with our à la carte menu. For those wishing to experience our tasting menu before the season changes, a limited number of tables and seatings still remain.

Winemakers’ Dinner with Champagne Henriot

On Friday, May 29 at 7 PM, eighteen guests will gather in the Steinwall Room at Operakällaren. One table only. One room, one shared experience.

Created together with Champagne Henriot and Chef de Caves Alice Tétienne, the evening celebrates the return of the house’s prestigious cuvée, Cuvée des Enchanteleurs. Originally named Enchanteleurs before becoming Hemera, Henriot now returns to the cuvée’s original name with the 2015 vintage.

This dinner will be among the very first dedicated to its relaunch.

For Operakällaren, the evening also carries another meaning. As this marks the final year before the house closes for its extensive renovation, it becomes a rare opportunity to experience a dinner of this kind within these historic walls.

Every course and every glass unfolds as part of a collective journey around the table.

4,500 SEK per guest, including menu and wine pairing featuring both older and younger vintages served side by side.

"I'm really looking forward to this summer, especially after the success of last year. To now have Operakällaren open while Sweden is in full bloom, at its absolute best, feels both exciting and natural. The season brings extraordinary produce, and we want to be part of that moment. The menu will highlight ingredients such as Swedish beef tenderloin, strawberries, and green asparagus. Sweden is at its most beautiful right now, with an abundance of remarkable ingredients – and as the final summer of Operakällaren approaches, it makes the moment all the more special."

Emanuel Tärnqvist, Executive Chef.

Reservations for July are now open.
