Chef Moonen highlighted the unique ingredients that inspire some of our favorite dishes and cocktails, including:
✨ Huitlacoche, often called the “Mexican Truffle,” a rare delicacy that naturally grows on corn and is celebrated for its rich earthy, umami flavor. Featured in our Seared Sea Scallops with Huitlacoche ‘Caviar,’ while our Huitlacoche and Wild Mushrooms are featured as their own savory side dish.
✨ Pepitas, the nutrient-rich toasted pumpkin seeds that add smoky crunch to our seasonal Watermelon Salad, Pinto Bean Hummus, and Cherry Mole Duck.
✨ Fresh avocado showcased in our signature VERDAD Guacamole, creamy Avo-Colada cocktail, and Filet Mignon Tacos — available daily and specially priced during Friday Hora Feliz (Happy Hour) for $19 (regularly $29) from 4 - 6:30 PM in VERDAD Bar & Patio.
✨ Tamarind featured in our Tamarind Mole from our Mole Tasting, served along side our Fiesta Board for 4 and in our refreshing El Tamarindo cocktail.
