Today, I want to celebrate Alika Rosser of Nequai's Nibbles

One of my favorite things about building Sweet Setup is getting to know the incredible women and the businesses behind these beautiful shops. And Alika has a special little place in our Sweet Setup story.

When Alika was creating her website, she knew exactly what she wanted. Her brand colors were red, white, and black, but we didn't have a palette that matched her vision.

So we pulled the exact shade of red straight from her logo, built her a new color palette, and shipped it about 24 hours later. ❤️

And here's the beautiful part. Because Alika asked, every baker on Sweet Setup now has that palette available to them.

But Alika wasn't finished.

She wanted her customers to be able to select their cookie flavors and then have a second set of options appear so they could choose their royal icing flavors.

That request helped bring Conditional Flavor Selections to Sweet Setup, another feature now available to every baker on the platform.

And THIS is what makes building Sweet Setup so incredibly special to me.

Alika built Nequai’s Nibbles. She knows her business, she knows her vision, and she wasn't afraid to tell us what she needed. And I feel so blessed that we get to build alongside her.

One thing about me? I’ve never felt the need to explain everything I bring to the table.

I love pink. I love beautiful things. I love turning chocolate and cake into little works of art.

And somewhere between tempering chocolate, raising my family, and running my dessert business, I’ve also spent 25 years building a career in technology.

I’m a Director of IT in New York City. And I built Sweet Setup because I knew exactly what was possible when technology and creativity stopped being treated like two separate worlds.

The funny thing is, people often assume the pretty things are the whole story.

And I’ve never been particularly interested in correcting them.

Because I’ve learned that you don’t have to announce your capabilities to possess them.

You can love beautiful things and build powerful things. You can be creative and technical. Soft and ambitious. An artist and an architect.

You never had to choose.

And to every woman who’s ever been underestimated because of how she looks, what she creates, or how she chooses to show up in the world?

Let them.

Build something extraordinary anyway.
