Extra! Extra! Read all about it! 🗞️ Im gonna send this photo to my mother so she can put it front and center on her refrigerator. 😁🤗 Our local neighborhood paper did a great write-up on City League and the gist of what we’re all about, the beginning stages, behind the name City League, and more. I’ve said it a million times, but we’re just a community-hub that’s pushing some really, really good coffee. And we’re just trying to do our noble part in this bogged down wild world. To be a good neighbor, and serve and love others the best we can thru this coffee stuff.

🕺🎉 HERE WE GO! preseason is over and 1st quarter is about to begin. WE GOT OUR OWN ROASTING SPOT IN SUNSET PARK!! I’ve been waiting like a year to announce this. What a journey it has been just to get to this point. Delays and obstacles and more delays and blood sweat and tears literally. Blood and sweat from getting this 2,000lb. roaster inside of this building and plenty of tears. Tears of joy and excitement and frustration and doubt and happiness and everything else in between.

This is crazy and surreal. But I believed in this vision from the very beginning in our little garage set up and believed that this goal would one day happen. (though much quicker than it actually did 😅 but we’re on our own pace and that’s the right pace for us.)

Thank you endlessly to all of you who have been with us from the beginning and those who recently discovered City League and continually support. To our wholesale friends, our out of state and online ordering friends, our subscriber crew, and our shop regulars who’ve become best friends, thank YOU!!! Thanks for giving us a reason and need to roast more coffee. We really love you all. ♥️♥️♥️

TWO YEAR PARTY!!! 🕺🎉 The shop turns two just like that. It may be in dog years tho because it feels more like 22 🤪😂 Long sappy post to come, but we’ve really been blessed by the greatest of customers who’ve become dear friends and soul enriching regulars. What a privilege it is to serve the neighborhood we call home on the daily. Thanks you for allowing us to do so and thank you for allowing us to serve you. 🧡🧡

Come out this Saturday to celebrate with us. There’s a vinyl pop-up happening, vegan taco truck out front, dj’s spinning records, drinks, and lots of cake..AND bring the kids because at noon Sandy the Seagull and King Henry from the are joining the party! 🙌

IT IS HERE!!!! 😭😭❤️ this is my magnum opus. my thriller to mike jackson. my blueprint to jay z. The most special coffee we have ever released. Sappy post about it all — 🪄🍉✨

A couple months ago I shared about a coffee collab that got to happen with my son and coffee farming importers friends in Colombia, . And this is it!

I hired and paid our 8 year old son to design and name and have creative control over it all. He began late spring and finished it in September. As you can see the transition from the burlap sack to the can packaging. By far the most meaningful of coffee accomplishments and one of the most unique coffees you’ll ever taste too. 🍉

About two years ago my friends Lucas, Sofia, and the crew at in Colombia had the idea of doing a collab..kind of with city league but more so with my son. It made sense since their tagline is “The Future is Young”. Finally everything aligned, timing was right, and we found the perfect coffee that blew me away when I sampled it. My son even tasted it and said “hmm, it’s like jolly ranchers”. (he usually just says “blah..it tastes like coffee” when i force him to try them 😆)

City League began with a few main focuses, one of them being to build this with my family by my side and involved thru it all every step of the way. And I always envisioned many years down the road for them to have their own passions and be able to give them opportunities to explore thru CL. And what a cool feeling it’ll be for my son, whose mind is always on a creative and artistic mode 24/7, to look back on this years from now.

Thank you for making this happen and being the best at what you guys do! This means everything to us! ♥️♥️♥️

We’re back!! Intro to Specialty Coffee 101 returns is this Saturday May 4th 10am-12 at the shop!

If you ever wondered what makes specialty coffee so “special”, wanna step your brewing game up at home, or just want to try a bunch of fun and different coffees, then this is for you!

THIS SATURDAY MAY 4th, we’ll be having a very casual, inexpensive and relaxed class that focuses on an intro to specialty coffee, pour over basics, simple ways to improve brewing at home, and lots of COFFEE TASTINGS! We’ll have some rare and exotic coffees we’ll be trying (maybe the Peach Paradise or the IPA Hops fermented coffee 🤔) as well as some traditional coffees too.

• ROSE VANILLA LATTE - housemade rose and vanilla syrup and topped with a rose cardamom dust and rose petals. Iced or hot 🌹 - created by Jess
• CINNABUN LATTE - tastes just like it! Made with a housemade brown sugar vanilla syrup and our own marshmallow syrup and then finished with a cinnamon sugar dusting. When served hot, we steam some of the components together and the milk tastes just like melted marshmallow fluff 🤤 iced or hot - created by Jess
• GRAPEFRUIT MATCHA SPRITZ - topo chico and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice topped with matcha. So refreshing! 💦- created by Monica
• The return of the “almost famous” HORCHATA COLD BREW! Imitated but can never be duplicated, a fan favorite and one of our signature staples!
