Twas the night before trade show and all the preparation finally complete,

Each jar made just from you, sealed and labeled with care

Displays carefully planned to show off each and every treat,

All in hopes that customers would soon be there.

Happy Ag Day!! It’s really hard to put into words to words what all this industry is and what all it means to me. For the last three years through my ag processing SAE, business, teaching, vet science, FFA, my advisors, officer teams, and events I’ve found my passions, with agriculture all at the center. Today was State FFA Proficiency Interviews!!! I competed against four of the best candidates if the area of Ag Processing to be the Illinois Ag Processing Proficiency winner. While I didn’t walk away the champion I won runner up and am now ranked second in the state. Last week after district proficiency interviews for FFA I got to do my three minute pitch for CEO. These competition are similar in the details of what I discuss and being asked questions on how I run and manage Canning Company, but the settings are very different. One is just you and the judges sitting across from each other and being asked questions throughout the process, the other you’re up on stage presenting before getting any questions. Both were great practices and experiences in the world of business.
