I just wanted to give a quick update.

Many of you know the Coffee Brake Mug story and have journeyed with us over the years. From our start in Minneapolis to a Kickstarter campaign to fund Coffee Brake Rev4 in Alabama. The mug was our “baby” before we welcomed a real baby Silas into our life. He was 4 when we started Rev 4. It’s been a labor of love for us.

Over the years we’ve shipped thousands of mugs all around the world. It’s been an amazing journey for our family and friends. To design and build a product that people buy and enjoy is an incredible experience and I can’t fully put into words what it’s meant to us. I’m still blown away when people send me pics of their Rev 3’s that are still kickin’ after all these years.

The time has come to close up shop and begin a new chapter. And before we sign off, we want to thank everyone who made this venture possible. There’s too many to people to mention here but you know who you are and we want to express our warmest thanks to YOU!
From those of you who bought mugs for co-workers or family members to the bicycle shops who bought cases of mugs every Christmas. We appreciate your support and will not forget. THANK YOU!! All of you.

For now, we’d like to thank Jory as he has taken possession of our remaining stock. He will continue selling mugs out of his bicycle shop and you should reach out to him if you own a retail store and are looking for case quantities. He’ll be more than happy to get you fixed up.

How to end this?? Uhh..goodbye for now, I guess. See you around and we hope you’ve enjoyed the ride as much as we have. It’s been fun! And no, there won’t be Coffee Brake Mug Rev5. 🙂

Thanks to bike mechanic, Brian for purchasing a Coffee Brake v.3 over 10 years ago and floating the idea to the sales manager. Five Years in Review

The Kickstarter campaign happened in the fall of 2016 to fund the production of the Coffee Brake Mug v.4. I can’t believe it’s been five years! I’d like to once again express my deep appreciation for your support. Not only did you invest in a product, but you invested in an entrepreneur, a person, a family, and a career path. The campaign was a rich learning experience that taught me so much and built on skills learned throughout all 4 iterations – product development, process manufacturing, and more – to the point where all of this has led me into an exciting career where I employ these learnings daily on a much larger scale. When I report to my job now, I glance over to my personal Coffee Brake Mug and remember all the people who helped me get here. I will be forever grateful.

With this career in full swing, I’ve had less time to spend marketing and pushing the Coffee Brake Mug and that’s why you haven’t seen much posting on our social media platforms. This will likely continue to be the case going forward because we’ve almost reached the end of our inventory! Rather than pursue more production at this point, we’ve decided to bring this chapter to a close, though the Coffee Brake Mug will live on all around the world!

Last Call Campaign*

With this five-year milestone in mind, we’ve set a goal for Memorial Day Weekend (for those outside the US, that’s this coming weekend through Monday) to make this push to the finish line. Will you consider helping us finish strong and move the remaining inventory by posting something once to your social media platforms sometime this weekend?

The important information we need to spread is that this is the last call to get a Coffee Brake Mug before they sell out completely. People can be directed to www.coffeebrakemug.com for purchase.

While supplies last, please consider any events you may have coming up over the next year or so, local shops who might want a novelty point-of-purchase item that sells well at the register, stock to have on hand for Christmas sales and gifts, etc., because once they're gone, they're gone!

Several friends within the industry have graciously agreed to post something this weekend as well, so if you see those posts, please consider helping to amplify them and promote their businesses too, by reacting, commenting, and/or sharing.

I can see no better way to ride across the finish line than together with you, the original Team Coffee Brake Mug. Thanks again. It really means a lot to us.

*A word to our UK friends:

Due to the changes related to VAT, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue shipping to the UK this year. We are not prepared to set up the accounts to collect and file VAT tax on our end as is now being required, particularly with limited inventory left. We're sad about this since we’ve shipped there for many years, and the UK has been unwavering in its position as our #1 Coffee Brake Mug destination outside of the US ever since way back when we started building these right here in our basement workshop. Thank you.
